Is becoming a tarot reader satisfying and does it make mega bucks?

26th October 2015

I started reading tarot cards for people in 2003. Before that I was mystified by what tarot cards were and how they came to be. I once did a ougie board after school in the classroom with a group of classmates when I was 12 but the board spelt out goat meaning the devil and us kids we all ran out of the classroom scared witless. None of us ever contemplated doing that again and I am glad as by us children innocently playing the ougie board we could have unwittingly brought evil spirits to hound us in this world. We got off lightly. I never did that again!

I would get tarot readings done by different fortune tellers when I was at college or studying to be a graduate and then even after that. I was fascinated by divination and the occult but too scared to learn to do tarot readings myself and plus I did not think I had the skills to do it.  A few years before 2003 I started seeing one tarot reader. She was very good. I could never understand how she knew what was coming ahead of me in my future as my past was a mixture of things that had not made me happy. I wanted to move on but did not know how to. She taught me how to do tarot readings as she had prepared lessons to learn tarot that all her customers could buy.

My profession in my twenties was a Lettings Manager in London and I did that for 23 years. It was very difficult managing tenants and property maintenance so after spending half my life doing that I decided I had had enough and packed that in. I sold up shop and moved on. I decided to put my heart and soul into my tarot readings which was what I started with actually as I did my degree in Psychology. I was always interested in this field. I had worked with elderly and mentally retarded and handicapped children and adults before I worked in the letting field.

Building a business is never easy especially when you do not have the background for it. I should have studied business management to degree level or learnt to become a programmer as it seems nowadays that is where the mega bucks are apart from the accountants, lawyers and the usual NHS profession which none of us can live without.

If you are thinking whether you should learn to become a tarot reader or not I would say the answer is yes as it is highly rewarding. You will get to meet and speak to many different types of people with varied problems. Some are obsessed with their careers and getting to the top and some just want a family and not much more. Then there are those who have suffered a tragedy in their lifetime like myself but we all get through it as it is survival of the fittest after all. I am a survivor and I think you are too because you are reading this.

Coming back to the question: Is becoming a tarot reader satisfying and does it make mega bucks? I have found becoming a tarot reader very satisfying as I have helped many people get back their pride and self esteem and are able to move on with their life leaving the bad times behind. This includes following the right career pathway as well as the correct passage to love. There are evil powers trying to pull us down throughout our life and the angels of heaven pull us out.

I am sure you have all experienced a deja vu experience where we see something and recognise that we had already seen that event either before or in our dreams. Making mega bucks is not why I decided to become a tarot reader and if you think like that then you can never be a good tarot reader. Remember the reason why you wanted to learn to do tarot readings. You can make mega bucks if you diversify and get other psychics to do your work and take a commission from each booking or you can dwell on writing your own ebooks of knowledge and on learning how to do tarot readings, writing blogs and writing articles constantly for the newspaper or other media so you are picked up by many new customers. Can you put in the hard work to make the mega bucks?

I wrote this to make you think whether this is the pathway you want to take? It is not easy to make a lot of money in this field without putting in years of hard graft. It takes a long time also to learn the meanings of the 78 tarot cards in a tarot deck and then to apply the knowledge to real customers. I studied the Rider Waite Tarot Cards as this is my favourite deck. You need to spend a lot of quiet time in a kind of semi meditation state. You must open your mind to the cards and fathom out the story the cards are trying to tell you. I wanted to rock your world and make you realise that I really enjoy reading tarot cards for people and I want you to enjoy it too. I would say to everybody give it a shot if you enjoy helping people. We are well aware that the body needs help when we are ill or when we get old. But what about the mind? It also needs consoling and counselling. Some people are able to manage this aspect themselves whereas there are others that don't trust their intuition or gut feelings to follow what is so clearly the right pathway. I would not call the latter weak but I would say that those people have intentionally decided to find out what is the right pathway to take? So which is better? Both are correct as they are leading their life the way they feel best. Learning to read the tarot cards are like learning a new language. It is a language of pictures and the tarot reader is assessing meanings to the pictures and relaying it back to the querent to make them understand what the cards are trying to tell him or her.

In answer to my question: Is becoming a tarot reader satisfying and does it make mega bucks? Tarot reading is a personal thing so I can only speak for myself. I find it very satisfying and no it does not make me mega bucks but then I did not go into doing this to make big money. I would like to share my knowledge and powers to help people. We come into this world with nothing and we leave this world with nothing but memories of us remain. What type of a legacy would you like to leave? I would hope to be remembered for what I gave back to this world. Wouldn't you?

What are Gut Feelings?

So what are gut feelings? Intuition allows you to get the first warning signs when anything is off in your body so that you can address it. If you have a gut feeling about your body — that something is toxic, weak or 'off' — listen to it.

There are many things we do not understand like gut feelings, psychic phenomena, ghosts, poltergeists, the dead which have left us, why the living treat us the way we do, partners and how to be with them. Last night it was 11pm and I was quite tired. My partner had gone to sleep when I heard someone upstairs. I jumped when I heard movement like someone walking upstairs and about the house. But all the doors were locked. I then went around to see if any were open. I was shocked to find that my back door to the garden was not locked and still had the key in the door so I quickly locked it. Then I was afraid that it was too late. Someone may be in the house. I went upstairs to find no-one there.

I wondered whether my guardian angel had pre warned me that someone would have come in the night if I had not realised and locked the back door. I always lock the doors but I must have forgotten that one door. I usually never forgot. This has never happened to me before. I knew that I had been warned by the other world. Just in time. I had even heard movement in the garden last night when I heard that noise and things seemed moved when I looked this morning at the garden. It was not gut feelings as normally I never check the doors and certainly do not hear that noise upstairs. I did actually hear a noise last night outside.

We will all find that we are given signals in our life by the other world to help us in this present life to make the right decisions. It can be in the form of gut feelings but also like I heard strange noises upstairs in my house also last night. There was no-one upstairs but why did I hear that noise. I believe that noise was made deliberately by my guardian angel causing me to go upstairs and around the house to check all windows and doors were shut. Listen to that world. We miss things in life otherwise. You can avoid disasters if you listen to that sound inside your head telling you what you should do.

We all have some psychic powers if we can connect with them. Too busy to listen to the signs, either running around, working, cooking, watching kids, visiting people, travelling. We do not notice things. Silence and meditation can help us hear those signals and sounds. Self help books can also help us make the right decisions. Reading is so empowering and teaches us so much. I have spent most of my life reading books and trying to understand people. But we are all learning about people, aren't we, all the time?

History of Tarot Cards:

Rider Waite Tarot Deck
Although the Romani people are often referred to as "Gypsies" (and prefer to be called by their more proper designation, Roma), not all "gypsies" or nomadic peoples are Roma. Gypsies have always been known to be fortune tellers. The Roma are descendants of the ancient warrior classes of Northern India, particularly the Punjab, and they are identifiable by their language, religion, and customs, which can be directly linked to those of the Punjabi in northern India. I am a Hindu Punjabi from Delhi which is northern India and my caste is Khatri- the warrior. I am by this definition of Romani origin perhaps a modern day age gypsy who is educated. I have always felt since I was small that I was able to see many things people were not able to see. I looked more like a gypsy in my younger days. However coming from an educated background, I wanted to do the degree in Psychology to increase my understanding of people's emotions and reactions in the scientific sense. I was already reaching out using my psychic senses. I always knew when someone was using or cheating me as my gut feelings were very strong. I would not be easily duped.
Former Indian Prime Minister Indira Ghandi summarized the state of the Romani people very nicely in her opening speech at the International Romani Festival in Chandigarh, India on October 28, 1983. It is paraphrased below (by Milena Hubschmannova & Jaroslav Jurasek):
"There are some 15 million Roms dispersed across the world. Their history is one of suffering and misery, but it is also one of the victories of human spirit over the blows of fate. Today the Roms revive their culture and are looking for their identity. On the other hand, they integrate into the societies in which they live. If they are understood by their fellow citizens in their new homelands, their culture will enrich the society's atmosphere with the colour and charm of spontaneity."
I use The Rider Waite Tarot Cards to do my tarot card readings and its history is discussed below.
Arthur Edward Waite (1857 - 1942) was a scholar of occultism and a leading member of the Order of the Golden Dawn. He collaborated with a young artist, Pamela Coleman Smith. She designed according to his instructions a set of Tarot cards which have enjoyed universal acclaim ever since their first publication by Rider in 1910. The rich figurative designs, with their precise and many-layered imagery, have helped people all over the world to understand and enjoy the unique language of the Tarot.
I receive messages and information from my Angels and Guides to answer your questions.
The Rider Waite Tarot cards- World Famous have 78- card deck, with the traditional Tudor rose that was a feature of the first 1910 deck. Pamela Coleman Smith was born 16 February 1978 in Middlesex England of American parents. Her childhood years were spent between New York and Jamaica. Pamela despite occasional art shows and favourable reviews by critics, the continued slow sales of her works and rejections by commercial publishers left her deeply disappointed. Smith never married. She had no known heirs except for an elderly female companion who shared her flat. She died on 18 September 1951, penniless and obscure. Much of her work has never been found. Pamela Smith would be all but forgotten except for the 78 tarot paintings known as the Rider-Waite Tarot Pack. She would be astonished and gladdened to know that today the deck touches the hearts and emotions of millions of people.
In order to do the Tarot Readings I need pin drop silence so that I can hear the angels say what they want me to tell you. Bring any item of clothing or jewellery that belongs to your loved one. This can give me more insight in your loved ones and your relationship with them.
